Music Mondays: Living Waters – Keith & Kristyn Getty

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I’ve selected one of my favorite newer worship songs from my favorite Irish musicians, Keith and Kristyn Getty. I love the lyrics of “Living Waters,” and how the song reminds us to faithfully nurture our children in the faith.

“Living Waters” (mp3 available on Amazon for $1.29) is a great worship song to build into a congregational singing rotation. While attending the Village Church a few years ago, I appreciated and loved how every song had tie ins to Scripture as the lyrics were displayed on the screen. For “Living Waters,” appropriate Bible verses would be from John 4 or John 7.

¹⁰ Jesus answered, “If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would ask him, and he would give you living water.” (John 4:10)

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. ³⁸ The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, will have streams of living water flow from deep within him.” (John 7:37-38)
